My name is Derek Charles Clode b1929, son of Frank/Minnie Clode in Cardiff,
My father had 9 brothers and 3 sisters.
My gandfather owned then called shipping butcherwith stores in Cardiff, Barry, Port Talbot, Swansea and Milford Haven. The one in Milford Haven is still operating going great guns. My folks Frank and Minnie Clode owned a pub called The Woodville Hotel in Cardiff. It was als known as "The Wood". It was a pub frequented by many students from the University of Wales being just over the bridge and members of the faculty. Many people from B.B.C. Wales also imbibed there. We were there for over 20yrs from 1935 to1956. After my fathers death we moved to Penylan. Mother died in the US in1984 She had immigrated here in 1967.
Chris Clode went to Aussieland in the thirties and had quite a few offspring. Some I believe went to New Zealand.
Istayed with a distant relative 3yrs ago in Melbourne, Michael Clode, I believe hes been in touch.
I presently live in the U.S., moved here in 1963.
My sister Angela lives in Stamford Conn USA.
